Belarus photo requirements

Belarus photo requirements are set by Ministry of Internal Affairs, Department of Citizenship and Migration (Департамент по гражданству и миграции МВД, mvd.gov.by). We publish 2 documents: 1 passport and 1 visa. The most common print size is 35 x 45 mm (1.38 in x 1.77 in). Each page quotes the official rule for size, head height, background and file, links the source we read, and shows the date we last checked it (most recently 2026-10-10).

Passports

Belarusian Passport Photo (paper passport: 40 x 50 mm, four colour prints on one sheet)For the four colour photographs filed with an application for an ordinary (non-biometric) passport of a citizen of the Republic of Belarus aged 14 or over at a citizenship and migration unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, under item 11.1.1 of Presidential Decree No. 200. The biometric passport (item 11.3) and the identification card (item 11.11) list no photograph, so there is nothing to print for them. Not for a Belarusian visa, which has its own 35 x 45 mm rule.40 x 50 mmnot statedverified 2026-10-10
