What trips people up
- CheckThe portal publishes no photo size, background or age. Its FAQ 'Photo' section has one entry: 'Can I change my photo after submitting my application?' - 'Yes, you can. Please send the photo to info@evisa.gov.kh together with your reference number.' Everything else here is the ICAO Doc 9303 reference frame.
- CheckVisa T (tourist): 'Fee: USD 30', 'Validity: 3 months', 'Length of stay: 1 month', 'Processing time: 3 business days'. Visa E (business): 'Fee: USD 35', same validity and stay.
- CheckSingle entry only, and not every border accepts the e-Visa: 'Not all border checkpoints support e-Visa. Please check before you apply.'
- CheckGroup applications: 'You cannot register more than 10 application per time.' Each traveller has an own form and photo.
- CheckThe portal's home page (2025 capture) also asks every traveller to file the Cambodia e-Arrival, recommending submission within 7 days before arrival.
- CheckThe live site shows a browser challenge to automated readers; the rules above come from the ministry's own pages as archived in 2024-2025.
Known quirks of the official upload
- NoteApply only on www.evisa.gov.kh ('Application'): security code, form with passport and travel details, review, payment, complete. The portal reads the passport page for you ('Fill-in application form is so easy with passport reader technology.').
Good to know before you pay
Any recent, plain-background head-and-shoulders JPEG will upload; the portal publishes no size to fail against, so our ICAO frame is a tidy default, not a rule.
Source and verification
