For the identity photo attached to a Lebanese biometric passport application (1, 3, 5 or 10 years) filed with General Security on the mayor's A4 form, by Lebanese citizens in Lebanon. The photo must be certified by the mayor and General Security photographs you again at the counter. Not for applications at embassies abroad, the Lebanese ID card or a visa.

What trips people up
- CheckThe mayor certifies the photo: 'A new colored photo ID photo on a white background, 4.5 x 3.5, on which the name of the individual appears, as well as the number and place of registered residence, signed and certified by the mayor.' Print it, then take it to the mukhtar with the A4 form.
- CheckGeneral Security photographs you anyway: 'The interested party that wishes to substitute his passport, has to be photographed every time.' Your print identifies you on the form; the passport portrait is captured at the counter.
- CheckThe page gives size and background only; 'The id photo has to conform to current regulations.' is its only other rule, so head size and expression here follow ICAO Doc 9303.
