What trips people up
- CheckYou do not bring a photo: 'Bij het loket of servicepunt maakt de IND een digitale pasfoto en neemt uw vingerafdrukken af', and photos made elsewhere by a photographer are not accepted.
- CheckThe only exception is a child under 2, whose pasfoto is sent in with the Bijlage Fotokaart, and even then the IND says to have it made by a photographer.
- CheckDress for the IND camera: the IND shoots against a light grey background and asks you not to wear all-white or light grey clothing, or a light grey, shiny or busily patterned head covering, because the photo can fail.
- CheckHead coverings are allowed for religious or philosophical reasons as long as the face is not covered.
