Uruguay photo requirements

Uruguay photo requirements are set by Dirección Nacional de Identificación Civil (DNIC), Ministerio del Interior (gub.uy). We publish 1 document: 1 passport. The most common print size is 35 x 45 mm (1.38 in x 1.77 in). Each page quotes the official rule for size, head height, background and file, links the source we read, and shows the date we last checked it (most recently 2026-10-10).

Passports

Uruguayan Passport Photo (no print listed by the DNIC; ICAO 35 x 45 mm reference)For a Uruguayan passport applied for at an office of the Dirección Nacional de Identificación Civil by natural citizens, nationals under Ley 16.021, grandchildren under Ley 19.362 and legal citizens, first issue or renewal. The requirement list names no photograph and does not say who takes the picture, so this page is a reference frame, not a published format. Not for the Documento Nacional de Identidad, a Uruguayan visa or a driving licence.35 x 45 mmnot publishedverified 2026-10-10
