Armenia e-Visa Photo (upload: JPG/PNG/BMP, 250 px minimum side; ICAO 35 x 45 reference frame): size and requirements

The Armenia e-Visa Photo size is 413 x 531 pixels for online upload (minimum 250 x 250, maximum 6000 x 6000), file under 6 MB. Not stated; white is our rendering choice for the reference frame; head 70 to 80 percent of the photo height. Photo taken within the last 6 months. Last verified 2026-10-10 against Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, E-VISA Issuance System (evisa.mfa.am), English interface strings, with the ICAO Doc 9303 Part 3 reference frame.

For the facial photo uploaded to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' E-VISA Issuance System (evisa.mfa.am) by a foreign visitor applying for a 21-day or 120-day Armenian visitor e-visa. The portal publishes file rules but no head or background geometry, so the frame here is the ICAO reference. Not for a paper visa filed at an Armenian mission, which lists no photo, nor for any Armenian citizen document.

What trips people up

  • Check
A photo is mandatory: 'Facial photo is required for the submission of your visa application.' The portal's interface strings include 'Valid Photos' and 'Not Valid Photos' labels, but it publishes no measurements.
  • Check
File rules, from the uploader's messages: 'You may only upload jpeg, png, bmp files', 'Your picture smallest side must be larger than 250px and the largest side must be less than 10,000px', 'Width to height ratio should be from 1:8 to 3:1' and 'The maximum size for a facial photo is 10 MB'. The error for a tiny file reads 'Image size is too small, the minimal acceptable size is 250x250 pixel'.
  • Check
A second help text is stricter: 'You may upload JPG, PNG or BMP files only. The maximum dimensions of image must be up to 6000x6000 pixel with maximum size 6MB.' We render inside both limits (413 x 531 px, well under 6 MB), so the contradiction does not matter for our file.
  • Check
Fees and speed, from the landing page: 'Visitor visa (up to 21 days of stay) / Non-refundable fee - USD 8', 'Visitor visa (up to 120 days of stay) / Non-refundable fee - USD 39' and 'E-VISA processing time is up to 3 working days'.
  • Check
The whole site is client-rendered: without JavaScript it shows only the fee lines, which is why the rules above come from the portal's English dictionary file (/i18n/en.json) rather than a rendered page.
  • Check
Everything geometric here (35 x 45 proportions, 70-80 % head, white background, six-month recency) is the ICAO Doc 9303 reference, flagged as such; the portal only constrains the file.
