Cyprus photo requirements

Cyprus photo requirements are set by Civil Registry and Migration Department (Τμήμα Αρχείου Πληθυσμού και Μετανάστευσης), Ministry of Interior, via gov.cy service points. We publish 1 document: 1 passport. The most common print size is 35 x 45 mm (1.38 in x 1.77 in). Each page quotes the official rule for size, head height, background and file, links the source we read, and shows the date we last checked it (most recently 2026-10-10).

Passports

Cyprus Passport Photo (photographed at the service point; ICAO 35 x 45 mm reference)For a Republic of Cyprus passport (διαβατήριο) applied for on gov.cy and completed at a Civil Registry and Migration Department service point, by Cypriot citizens and their minor children. The service page says the office takes your fingerprints and photo, so this page is a reference frame only, not a print you can hand in. Not for the identity card, a Cyprus visa or a driving licence.35 x 45 mmnot statedverified 2026-10-10
