Dominican Republic photo requirements

Dominican Republic photo requirements are set by Dirección General de Pasaportes (DGP, pasaportes.gob.do). We publish 2 documents: 1 passport and 1 visa. The most common print size is 35 x 45 mm (1.38 in x 1.77 in). Each page quotes the official rule for size, head height, background and file, links the source we read, and shows the date we last checked it (most recently 2026-10-10).

Passports

Dominican Passport Photo (taken at the Pasaportes office; ICAO 35 x 45 mm reference)For a Dominican passport applied for or renewed in person at a Dirección General de Pasaportes office after booking online, by Dominican adults (the minors' and naturalised-citizens' pages follow the same procedure). The office photographs you at the counter and publishes only appearance rules for that capture, so this page is a reference frame. Not for a Dominican visa, which takes a 2 x 2 inch print, nor for the cédula or a driving licence.35 x 45 mmpara asegurar un buen contraste con el fondo blancoverified 2026-10-10
