El Salvador photo requirements

El Salvador photo requirements are set by Dirección General de Migración y Extranjería (DGME, migracion.gob.sv). We publish 1 document: 1 passport. The most common print size is 35 x 45 mm (1.38 in x 1.77 in). Each page quotes the official rule for size, head height, background and file, links the source we read, and shows the date we last checked it (most recently 2026-10-10).

Passports

Salvadoran Passport Photo (no print listed by the DGME; ICAO 35 x 45 mm reference)For a Salvadoran ordinary passport issued for the first time or renewed at a Dirección General de Migración y Extranjería branch, by adults with their DUI and by children with both parents, and for the online renewal that adults inside El Salvador file at pasaporteenlinea.migracion.gob.sv. The DGME lists no photograph for either route and issues the booklet in about 20 minutes, so this page is a reference frame, not a published format. Not for the DUI, a Salvadoran visa or a driving licence.35 x 45 mmnot publishedverified 2026-10-10

We are an independent service, not a government website. Applying for a passport or visa is done with your government; we only prepare the photo.
