Kazakhstan photo requirements
Kazakhstan photo requirements are set by Ministry of Internal Affairs via 'Government for Citizens' and eGov (egov.kz); Ministry of Foreign Affairs abroad. We publish 2 documents: 2 passports. The most common print size is 35 x 45 mm (1.38 in x 1.77 in); 1 document accepts a digital upload. Each page quotes the official rule for size, head height, background and file, links the source we read, and shows the date we last checked it (most recently 2026-10-10).
Passports

- Kazakhstan Passport Photo (eGov online application; ICAO 35 x 45 mm reference)For the photo attached to a passport (or national ID) application by a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan inside the country, filed online on eGov or at a 'Government for Citizens' Public Corporation branch (gov.kz service 3087). The page names a photo 'in accordance with the Rules' but publishes no geometry, so the frame is the ICAO Doc 9303 reference.
