Mauritania photo requirements

Mauritania photo requirements are set by Agence Nationale du Registre des Populations et des Titres Sécurisés (ANRPTS, anrpts.gov.mr), Ministère de l'Intérieur. We publish 1 document: 1 passport. The most common print size is 35 x 45 mm (1.38 in x 1.77 in). Each page quotes the official rule for size, head height, background and file, links the source we read, and shows the date we last checked it (most recently 2026-10-10).

Passports

Mauritania Passport Photo (ANRPTS file lists NNI and fee, no photograph; ICAO 35 x 45 mm reference)For a Mauritanian biometric passport (passeport biométrique) requested at an ANRPTS Centre d'Accueil des Citoyens, as a reference only: the agency's procedure lists the Numéro National d'Identification and the fee for a first passport, a renewal or a replacement and names no photograph, while its civil-status pages describe biometric enrolment at the centre - so the frame, head band and background here are the ICAO Doc 9303 defaults. Not for a Mauritanian online visa (no photo rule readable) nor for the national identity card.35 x 45 mmnot publishedverified 2026-10-10
