Moldova photo requirements

Moldova photo requirements are set by Agenția Servicii Publice (ASP, asp.gov.md). We publish 2 documents: 1 passport and 1 visa. The most common print size is 35 x 45 mm (1.38 in x 1.77 in); 1 document accepts a digital upload. Each page quotes the official rule for size, head height, background and file, links the source we read, and shows the date we last checked it (most recently 2026-10-10).

Passports

Moldovan Passport Photo (captured at the ASP counter; 10 x 15 cm print only for the bedridden; ICAO 35 x 45 mm reference)For a passport of a citizen of the Republic of Moldova applied for at an Agenția Servicii Publice identity-document service or multifunctional centre, for adults and children. The agency captures the facial image at the counter and lists a print (10 x 15 cm, colour, matte, white background) only for applicants who are immobilised or gravely ill in a medical institution, so this page is a reference frame. Not for the identity card, a Moldovan e-visa or a driving licence.35 x 45 mmpe fond albverified 2026-10-10

Visas

Moldova e-Visa Photo (upload 'Recent photograph', no published rule; ICAO 35 x 45 reference frame)For the 'Recent photograph' uploaded to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration's e-Visa portal (evisa.gov.md) by a foreign national applying for a Moldovan visa online. The portal's application guide lists the upload but no size, format or framing rule, so the frame here is the ICAO reference. Not for a paper visa filed at a Moldovan mission nor for any document of a Moldovan citizen.413 x 531 pxnot statedverified 2026-10-10
