For a Nigerien entry visa applied for at an embassy or consulate of Niger (the normal route under the foreign ministry's 'Entrée au Niger' page): the file is the passport and a copy, the form in duplicate and 'Deux photographies de tête nue, format 4x4 récentes et parfaitement ressemblantes.' - two recent, bare-headed 40 x 40 mm prints. The head band is the ICAO reference because the ministry publishes none. Not for the exceptional visa on arrival authorised by the Ministry of the Interior, nor for a Nigerien passport.

What trips people up
- CheckThe rule in full: 'Deux photographies de tête nue, format 4x4 récentes et parfaitement ressemblantes.' - two photographs, head uncovered ('tête nue'), 4 x 4 cm, recent and a perfect likeness. 'Tête nue' is the ministry's word, so we set head coverings to not allowed; if you wear one for religious reasons, ask the mission before applying.
