Slovakia photo requirements

Slovakia photo requirements are set by Ministerstvo vnútra Slovenskej republiky (Ministry of the Interior), oddelenia dokladov (minv.sk). We publish 1 document: 1 passport. The most common print size is 35 x 45 mm (1.38 in x 1.77 in). Each page quotes the official rule for size, head height, background and file, links the source we read, and shows the date we last checked it (most recently 2026-10-10).

Passports

Slovak Passport Photo (photographed at the counter; no photo accepted, ICAO 35 x 45 mm reference)For a Slovak biometric passport (cestovný pas) applied for in person at a document department (oddelenie dokladov) of the Ministry of the Interior, by Slovak citizens including children. The ministry captures your facial image and signature electronically at the counter and explicitly says no photograph is needed, so this page is a reference frame only. Not for the identity card, a Slovak visa or a driving licence.35 x 45 mmnot statedverified 2026-10-10
