For the biometric general-civil foreign passport of the Republic of Tajikistan (шиносномаи умумишаҳрвандии хориҷӣ) issued by the Passport and Registration Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to adults and, with notarised parental consent, to minors under 16. What trips people up
- CheckNo photo in the list. The foreign passport is issued 'дар асоси пешниҳоди ҳуҷҷатҳои зерин' (on presentation of the following documents): the citizen's passport of the Republic of Tajikistan, the birth certificate for citizens under 16, and the receipt for the state duty and other payments. Nothing says whether the service photographs you or wants a print, so ask before buying photos.

- CheckThe citizen's IC card on the same page does want a print - one black-and-white 3.5 x 4.5 cm photo without a hat - so do not assume the foreign passport uses the same rule; the two lists differ.

Submitted portraits should be 45.0 mm x 35.0 mm (1.77 in x 1.38 in) in dimension.
The crown-to-chin portion of the facial image shall be 70 to 80 per cent of the longest dimension defined for Zone V, maintaining the aspect ratio between the crown-to-chin and ear-to-ear details of the face of the holder.
