What trips people up
- CheckThe Turkish frame is 50 x 60 mm, not 35 x 45: 'son altı ay içerisinde yüz tamamen görünür şekilde ön cepheden çekilmiş, 50mmx60mm ebatlarında' photos are accepted. A European 35 x 45 print will be refused.
- CheckOne print only, no older than six months: 'Son altı ayda çekilmiş 1 (bir) adet biyometrik fotoğraf'.
- CheckFace fully visible, eyes, forehead, face and chin uncovered, and no tinted or sun glasses: 'gözler, alın, yüz, çenenin açık olduğu ve renkli cam ya da güneş gözlüğü kullanılmayan'. Clear prescription glasses are not banned.
- CheckCopies and home print-outs are rejected: 'Fotokopi, bilgisayarda çoğaltılan veya biyometrik olmayan fotoğraflar kabul edilmemektedir.' Have the 50 x 60 print made at a photo counter on photo paper.

Good to know before you pay
If you already have a 50 x 60 mm biometric print taken within six months at a Turkish photo studio, it is exactly what the nüfus müdürlüğü wants; buy only if you need the 50 x 60 crop or a fresh photo.
