What trips people up
- CheckOne print, 35 x 45 mm, and nothing more is published: the MFA list says '1 applicant's photo (35x45 mm);'. Head size, background, photo age and glasses rules are not stated, so we apply ICAO 9303 framing (70 to 80 per cent head) on white.
- CheckRegister the form online first: 'MFA's advice to all applicants is to fill in and register their visa applications for the relevant Embassy/Consulate/MFA division at an airport/Visa Centre online at visa.mfa.gov.ua.' Then print, sign and bring it with the photo.
- CheckThe photo goes with the printed form, insurance proof (EUR 30 000 cover), proof of funds, fee receipt and purpose documents; diplomatic and service passport holders skip the insurance and funds items.
- CheckMissions may only accept applications from people resident in their country: 'Ukraine's Embassies/Consulates abroad may only be able to accept visa applications from applicants holding valid temporary/permanent residence documents'.
- CheckThis page was read from a Wayback snapshot of 2024-09-12 because mfa.gov.ua blocks automated readers; check the live page for current fees and lists before applying.
Good to know before you pay
If you already have a recent 35 x 45 mm passport-style print, it meets the only published rule; the MFA states no background, head or age requirement for consular visa photos.
