Ukraine photo requirements

Ukraine photo requirements are set by Державна міграційна служба України (State Migration Service, ДМС); MFA for visas. We publish 4 documents: 1 passport, 1 ID card and 2 visas. The most common print size is 35 x 45 mm (1.38 in x 1.77 in); 1 document accepts a digital upload. Each page quotes the official rule for size, head height, background and file, links the source we read, and shows the date we last checked it (most recently 2026-10-09).

Ukrainian Passport Photo (biometric; image captured at the ДМС counter)For the Ukrainian passport for travel abroad (паспорт громадянина України для виїзду за кордон), a biometric document whose face image the State Migration Service captures at the office, so adults bring no photograph. Children under 12 and persons who cannot attend for health reasons may instead hand in one 10 x 15 cm print that is scanned.
