Zimbabwe e-Visa Photo (evisa.gov.zw upload: recent face picture, JPEG/PNG under 1 MB): size and requirements
The Zimbabwe e-Visa Photo size is 413 x 531 pixels for online upload, file under 1000 KB. Not published; white is our rendering choice for the reference frame; head 70 to 80 percent of the photo height. Photo taken within the last 6 months. Last verified 2026-10-10 against Department of Immigration, Zimbabwe - e-Visa portal (application bundle strings and FAQ), with the ICAO Doc 9303 Part 3 reference frame.
For the 'Recent face picture' uploaded in the documents step of a Zimbabwean e-Visa application on evisa.gov.zw (single, double, multiple-entry and KAZA UNIVISA categories, Department of Immigration) - a JPEG or PNG under 1 MB. The portal publishes no size, background or head rule, so the frame and head band here are the ICAO reference. Not for a Zimbabwean passport, for which the enrolment centre captures the image.

What trips people up
- CheckThe upload is labelled 'Recent face picture' (field PassportPhoto) and the documents step says 'Please provide accurate information matching your passport and legal documents.' then 'Uploaded documents must be signed' 'and in JPEG, PNG or PDF format (< 1MB)' - the photo field itself accepts .png, .jpg, .jpeg and .pdf with a 1,000,000-byte limit. Our 413 x 531 px JPEG on white is the ICAO reference, not a Zimbabwean rule.
- CheckOther uploads in the same step: the 'Passport bio data page', the 'Host's residence/booking (signed)' and 'Address at destination' - the field configuration we read gives each of these the same .png/.jpg/.jpeg/.pdf types and 1 MB limit; invitation letters and other category-specific files are labelled in the same list.
- CheckWho applies: the FAQ sorts nationalities into three regimes - no visa needed, visa on arrival, and 'required to pay for and obtain a visa before travelling to Zimbabwe'; for the first two regimes 'The entering declaration can be submitted online prior to travel.', and 'The Zimbabwe Department of Immigration reserves the right to change your visa type during processing at their discretion.'
- CheckValidity by type from the FAQ: single entry within one (1) month, double entry within three (3) months, 'Multiple Entry: Permits any number of entries within six months from the date of issue.', KAZA UNIVISA one (1) month for the Kavango Zambezi area.
- CheckThe portal is an Angular app (and its guide brochure answers 403), so these rules were read from its code strings; check the live form, which may add pixel limits we could not see.
