SurePassportPhoto vs PhotoAiD

PhotoAiD combines an automatic check with a human expert review and can mail prints to you; we run automated checks only, show every measured value before you pay, and never mail anything. If you want a person to look at your photo, or prints posted to your door, PhotoAiD offers that and we do not.

Facts about PhotoAiD come only from the pages listed under Sources, each with the date we saved it. Checked 2026-10-11.

Where no online photo works

Not every document can be done online. Where the authority restricts photos made at home or online, no online service's file fits, ours included: among them the Canadian passport, the Australian passport, Ireland's Passport Online, and the French and German passports and ID cards. For those documents the tool shows the authority's rule before checkout and the refund guarantee does not cover them. See the full list and the reasons.

PriceNo price appears on the pages we saved. Their terms say the price is shown on the site before you place an order. [3]$6.99, one payment per document, charged in USD. No subscription and no add-ons at checkout. The price is on every page before you upload anything.
Where the photo is processedYou upload the photo to their site, where an automatic initial analysis runs. [3]We crop your photo to the official size, check it against the published requirements, and show you the result before you pay.
Result shown before you payThe automatic analysis runs before checkout. Expert verification is a service chosen in the cart; on some of their sites it is included. [3]Yes. You see the crop and the full checklist with each rule's measured value first; the pay button says how many checks pass and stays disabled while a blocking check fails.
Who checks the photoA human expert reviews the photo; their how-it-works page says verification runs 24/7. [2]Automated checks only. No person reviews your photo, and we say so.
If the photo is rejectedA '200% money-back guarantee': the price back to your original payment method plus a 100% bonus to PayPal, requested within 30 days of the rejection. It is offered on selected sites, does not apply if you edited the photo or ordered despite a negative expert verdict, and their refunds page asks for a reliable document confirming the rejection. [3]If the authority rejects the photo, request a refund within 60 days of purchase: the full $6.99 goes back to the card you paid with within 2 business days of approval. A written self-declaration is accepted when the counter gave you nothing in writing.
DeliveryA digital file, or prints shipped to you; their page says most orders arrive within 2–3 business days, with standard or express shipping. [2]The files download on screen right after payment, including a print sheet for printed documents, which you print yourself. An email link is optional. We do not mail prints or send orders to stores.
