Djibouti photo requirements

Djibouti photo requirements are set by Ministère de l'Intérieur (interieur.gouv.dj); official e-Visa portal evisa.gouv.dj. We publish 2 documents: 1 passport and 1 visa. The most common print size is 35 x 45 mm (1.38 in x 1.77 in); 1 document accepts a digital upload. Each page quotes the official rule for size, head height, background and file, links the source we read, and shows the date we last checked it (most recently 2026-10-10).

Passports

Djibouti Passport Photo (no requirement list published; ICAO 35 x 45 mm reference)For a Djiboutian passport issued under the Ministère de l'Intérieur, as a reference only: the ministry's site names the passport among the titles it delivers but publishes no document list, photo rule or word on who takes the picture, so the frame, head band and background here are the ICAO Doc 9303 defaults. Not for the Djibouti e-Visa, whose upload rule is published (separate page here), nor for the biometric identity card.35 x 45 mmnot publishedverified 2026-10-10

Visas

Djibouti e-Visa Photo (evisa.gouv.dj upload: JPG or PNG, 250 KB)For the photograph uploaded with a Djibouti e-Visa application on the official portal evisa.gouv.dj (ordinary and express visas): the portal accepts JPG or PNG files of at most 250 KB and lets you crop the image before upload. No dimensions, background or head rule is published, so the frame and head band here are the ICAO reference and the pixel size is ours. Not for a Djiboutian passport, for which no list is published.413 x 531 pxnot publishedverified 2026-10-10

Authorities and portals

Passport authority: Ministère de l'Intérieur (interieur.gouv.dj); official e-Visa portal evisa.gouv.dj
Sources we read: Ministère de l'Intérieur, République de Djibouti - 'Citoyenneté' service page and the Direction de la Population et de la Famille page, with the ICAO Doc 9303 Part 3 reference frame; République de Djibouti official e-Visa portal (evisa.gouv.dj) - applicant portal attachment rules, read from its English and French interface text

We are an independent service, not a government website. Applying for a passport or visa is done with your government; we only prepare the photo.
