Haiti photo requirements

Haiti photo requirements are set by Direction de l'Immigration et de l'Émigration (DIE) in Haiti; Ministère des Affaires Étrangères et des Cultes missions abroad (gouv.ht). We publish 2 documents: 1 passport and 1 ID card. The most common print size is 35 x 45 mm (1.38 in x 1.77 in). Each page quotes the official rule for size, head height, background and file, links the source we read, and shows the date we last checked it (most recently 2026-10-10).

Passports

Haitian Passport Photo (two white-background prints at the mission; ICAO 35 x 45 mm reference)For the two recent identity photographs handed in with a Haitian passport application, renewal or replacement at a Haitian embassy or consulate, as listed by the Embassy in Washington. The mission publishes the count and the white background but no size, so the 35 x 45 mm frame here is the ICAO reference. Not for the Carte d'Identification Nationale, a Haitian visa or applications filed with the DIE inside Haiti, whose pages could not be reached.35 x 45 mmfond blancverified 2026-10-10

ID cards

Haitian National ID Card (CIN) Photo via a mission (one white-background print; ICAO 35 x 45 mm reference)For the recent identity photograph handed in when a Haitian abroad applies for or renews the Carte d'Identification Nationale (CIN) through a Haitian embassy or consulate, which forwards the file to Haiti. The embassy publishes only the count and the white background, so the frame is the ICAO reference. Not for the Haitian passport (two photos) nor for CIN applications filed directly inside Haiti.35 x 45 mmfond blancverified 2026-10-10
