Libya photo requirements

Libya photo requirements are set by Passports, Nationality and Foreigners Affairs Authority (مصلحة الجوازات والجنسية وشؤون الأجانب), Ministry of Interior; e-visa portal evisa.gov.ly. We publish 2 documents: 1 visa and 1 passport. The most common print size is 35 x 45 mm (1.38 in x 1.77 in); 1 document accepts a digital upload. Each page quotes the official rule for size, head height, background and file, links the source we read, and shows the date we last checked it (most recently 2026-10-10).

Passports

Libyan Passport Photo (no readable national rule; ICAO 35 x 45 mm reference)For a Libyan passport (جواز سفر ليبي) issued by the Passports, Nationality and Foreigners Affairs Authority of the Ministry of Interior to Libyan citizens, as a reference only: none of the authority's hosts answered and the ministry site carries no passport page, so the frame, head band and all other values are the ICAO Doc 9303 defaults. Not for the Libyan e-visa, the national ID or a driving licence.35 x 45 mmnot read for the passportverified 2026-10-10

Visas

Libya e-Visa Photo (JPG up to 1 MB, white background; ICAO 35 x 45 frame)For the personal photo uploaded with a Libyan electronic visa application on the national portal evisa.gov.ly, by visitors whose nationality the portal admits. The portal's own messages require a JPG under 1 MB, a white background, a visible face and portrait orientation but state no pixel size or head rule, so the frame here is the ICAO reference. Not for a visa obtained at a Libyan embassy and not for a Libyan passport.413 x 531 pxThe background should be white.verified 2026-10-10
