Mozambique photo requirements

Mozambique photo requirements are set by Serviço Nacional de Migração (SENAMI), Ministério do Interior (senami.gov.mz); eVisa & eTA portal evisa.gov.mz. We publish 2 documents: 1 passport and 1 visa. The most common print size is 35 x 45 mm (1.38 in x 1.77 in); 1 document accepts a digital upload. Each page quotes the official rule for size, head height, background and file, links the source we read, and shows the date we last checked it (most recently 2026-10-10).

Passports

Mozambique Passport Photo (SENAMI: one 'fotografia tipo passe'; ICAO 35 x 45 mm reference)For the single 'Fotografia tipo passe' (passport-type photograph) the Serviço Nacional de Migração lists among the requirements for a Mozambican biometric passport (passaporte biométrico), with the Bilhete de Identidade and the completed form, filed at a SENAMI office; under-18s add a notarised parental declaration. The sheet gives no size, background or head rule, so the frame here is the ICAO reference. Mozambique eVisa / eTA Photo (evisa.gov.mz upload: recent passport-style frontal photo, JPEG or PNG)For the 'Frontal Photo - A recent, passport-style photo' every applicant uploads on the official Mozambique eVisa & eTA portal evisa.gov.mz (National Immigration Service) - tourist, business, investment, sports and culture, crew, humanitarian and oil-and-gas categories - as a scanned JPEG, PDF or PNG. The portal publishes no size, background or head rule, so the frame and head band here are the ICAO reference.
