What trips people up
- CheckSquare, not 35 x 45: the document list asks for 'صور شخصية عدد /2/ ملونة بخلفية بيضاء وملابس داكنة قياس 4*4' (two colour personal photos, white background, dark clothing, size 4*4). The page prints no unit; 4 x 4 cm is the usual reading, so a standard EU-size print is the wrong shape.
- CheckDark clothing is part of the rule ('ملابس داكنة'): a white or very light top against the white background is the obvious rejection risk.
- CheckTwo prints, in colour ('عدد /2/ ملونة'). The application form itself must also be printed in colour from the MOFA SY appointments app: 'استمارة جواز السفر التي تمت طباعتها من تطبيق المواعيد MOFA SY على أن تكون الطباعة بالألوان.'

(under 18, the father or paternal grandfather must attend with a copy of his passport); a mother applying needs a court guardianship order or the guardian's consent.
